Into the Hawkerverse is an immersive and wildly entertaining dive into the rich culture of Singapore's beloved hawker centres.

It is split into 3 main zones, namely “Past”, “Present & Future” and “Playpot”. As a multi-gallery exhibition, it not only provides an in-depth exploration of Singapore’s hawker culture and iconic dishes, but also sheds light on what goes on behind preparing each dish, instilling greater appreciation for our hawker masters.

The exhibition begins with a historical overview of Singapore’s street hawkers, tracing their evolution into the iconic hawker centres known today. Featuring interactive exhibits and hands-on activities, children are invited to learn about the history of hawker food in a fun way. Recreated hawker stalls and colorful displays also offer a sensory experience, allowing children to roleplay as hawkers.

Through this immersive experience, children gain a deeper understanding of how hawker culture has become an integral part of Singapore’s identity.
